PIHMS students may soon be taking part in courses in which the lecturer is based in the USA or even Peru. Modern technology such as Skype now easily enables hospitality management lecturers to reach an international audience and now PIHMS is forging the relationships that can make that happen.

Principal Wins Scholarship - May 08
PIHMS Principal, Flora Gilkison has won a scholarship to attend a conference in the USA.  Mrs Gilkison is one of just four people to be awarded the NZIM Foundation Management Scholarship valued at $6,500.

Another PIHMS Grad now a GM - April 08

Another PIHMS graduate has attained the position of General Manager.  Troy Newton (29) was appointed General Manager of Accor’s Mercure Windsor property in November, becoming the company’s youngest ever GM in New Zealand.

We’re excited to introduce a new place in our new alumni community, where you can interact directly with groups of other members of PIHM. You can participate in the member community, create a new group for you and your friends, or join an existing one! Within each group’s page, the members have control over the content. You can upload and share links, videos, photos, events and comments with other members.
